Penelope, or Penny as she's known, is a sweet 13-year-old senior lady with a heart full of love to give. She came to us through an unfortunate situation where her owner passed away. Penny was one of many dogs in her previous home and, being the most submissive and calm, she learned to find her safe space away from the younger pups. This means she's a bit shy at first and will look for a quiet, secure spot in her new environment. To help her feel secure and to make sure she's always findable, we often keep a leash on her inside the house. However, once Penny feels comfortable and safe – and she seems to warm up to ladies a bit faster – she blossoms into a true affection-seeker! She adores being on the couch, snuggling close, and will even give you a gentle "paw" to let you know she wants more pets if you dare to stop too soon. Despite her age, Penny's bloodwork is perfect, she recently had a dental cleaning, and she still has plenty of spunk left! She's a great companion on walks, enjoying the fresh air and sights.

Penny would thrive in a calm and patient home where she can gradually come out of her shell. A quiet environment where she can find her safe space will help her adjust.

Penny is in great health for her age, with perfect bloodwork and a recent dental cleaning.
Training & Support
Penny is a bit shy and may need time to adjust to new surroundings. Keeping a leash on her indoors initially can help her feel secure and ensure she's easily found. Patience and gentle encouragement will help her build confidence.
