Moon

Moon is a 2-year-old, black and tan, lab-saluki mix who came to us all the way from Kuwait. She's a resilient and loving soul who was rescued after a poisoning incident on a university campus. While she was being treated, it was discovered that she had gone blind from the poisoning. After receiving treatment, Moon regained some of her vision, but she still experiences some impairment. Because of this, Moon thrives with clear structure and routine and appreciates her personal space. She previously found a loving home in Canada, but due to unforeseen challenges with her vision, her adopter was unable to provide the specific structure she needed. This led Moon to vocalize her needs by growling and snapping, and she also showed aggression towards dogs that didn't respect her boundaries.

Ideal Home

Moon would do best as the only dog in the home and should not be placed in a household with young children. She needs a home that can provide a consistent structure and routine.

Ongoing Health

Moon has some vision impairment due to a past poisoning incident.

Training & Support

Moon has spent the last six months at a board and train facility where she has made excellent progress. She now walks politely with other dogs and lives harmoniously with six other dogs. She has also formed a strong, affectionate bond with her trainer. The facility is committed to providing ongoing guidance and support to Moon's future adopters to ensure her continued success.

Transporation

Moon is currently located at a board and train facility. Transport to her adopter may be arranged.
