Romeo strutted into the shelter and instantly began charming everyone with his wiggly tail, soft eyes, and "love me!" enthusiasm, quickly proving his former owner right for calling him the sweetest boy. He greets new friends like they’re long-lost pals, leans in for every bit of affection he can get, and happily hands out gentle kisses to anyone within reach. Romeo’s playful spirit shines during toy time—especially when he gets his paws on a squeaky stuffed toy he proudly carries like treasure—but he’s still learning that trading toys is part of the game. His dog meet showed off his social, goofy side with play bows and bouncy invitations. With a patient home, a friendly resident dog intro, and a trainer to help refine his manners and toy sharing, Romeo is ready to bring his big heart, big smiles, and big love to his new family.

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff.

Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
