Mabel is a 2.5-year-old pit bull mix weighing 64 pounds. She's spayed, vaccinated, and ready for her forever home! Despite a rough start where she was found abandoned and chased, Mabel is as sweet as can be and absolutely adores people. Her favorite activities include snuggling up close, showering her favorite humans with kisses, going on car rides, and being the center of attention. She's a happy and outgoing girl who makes friends easily, including children. Mabel has shown exceptional gentleness and patience with the foster family's autistic son, happily cuddling and playing with him.
Ideal Home
Mabel would thrive in a home filled with love, cuddles, and comfy couches. She'd love a family who appreciates a loyal, affectionate, and goofy companion with a huge heart. She would likely do well with a playful, tolerant medium to large dog. A home without cats would be best.
Ongoing Health
Mabel appreciates a little extra patience and support during vet visits and when it comes to certain procedures to help her feel safe.
Training & Support
Mabel is still learning when playtime is over with other dogs and can sometimes get a little overexcited. She is making great progress with her leash manners, though she may pull to greet other dogs on walks. She is not a fan of crates and prefers to sleep cuddled up with her people. She is not destructive when left unsupervised.
