Meet Robin!
Robin is a gentle, sensitive 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs about 85 pounds. He came to us from a hoarding situation and is still learning what it means to trust and be loved. Robin isn't the most outgoing pup; he prefers a quiet existence and takes his time warming up to new people, places, and experiences. He’ll need a patient and understanding adopter as he builds confidence. When startled, Robin’s instinct is to retreat to a safe space, but with kindness and consistency, he’s blossoming beautifully. He truly shines around other dogs and enjoys their companionship, even showing off his playful side with his foster sibling. Robin would greatly benefit from a confident resident dog to help him navigate the world. He’s curious and explores at his own pace, is treat-motivated, and responds well to gentle correction. Robin is not a destructive dog; he quietly observes and learns. He's currently a bit lean and is being helped to gain weight with good nutrition and care.
Ideal Home
Robin would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and a calm environment where he can continue to learn that the world is a safe place. He needs a patient and understanding adopter who will let him progress at his own pace and a confident resident dog to help build his confidence.
