Toaster

Toaster is a charming and resilient 2.5-year-old dog with an infectious zest for life. Despite a spinal injury sustained on the streets, Toaster's spirit is unbroken. He's wobbly but wonderful, with improving balance and coordination. He's even mastered navigating short staircases! Toaster is an enthusiastic boy who loves to play and might be a bit rough for some, but he's learning to temper his excitement with people. He enjoys holding a human forearm in his mouth, a unique quirk that has charmed our staff. Fortunately, Toaster is heartworm negative and has no other major medical concerns. While his movements can be startling to other dogs, he seems to enjoy their company.

Ideal Home

Toaster would thrive in a home with older children, as his less-than-graceful movements could be overwhelming for toddlers. He hasn't met cats yet, so a home without them might be best.

Ongoing Health

Toaster is heartworm negative and has no other significant health concerns. His primary health consideration is his unique gait due to a past spinal injury.

Training & Support

Toaster is showing great promise with housetraining and is surprisingly mellow on a leash. He is still learning to adjust his play style for human interaction, so patience and gentle guidance will be key.
