Maverick

Maverick is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities. Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Maverick can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life. In the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Maverick is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found.

Meet Maverick! He is 5 months old and currently weighs 35 lbs, with an estimated adult weight of 61-99 lbs. Maverick is a DNA verified mix of 55% Great Pyrenees, 26% Labrador Retriever, 5% Anatolian Shepherd, 4% Great Dane, and 4% Komondor.

He just needs a patient home that will give him time, reassurance, and plenty of love to build his confidence. One thing that instantly brings him out of his shell is other dogs! He absolutely loves canine companions, so having a friendly, confident dog in the home to show him the ropes would be a huge plus for him.

Ongoing Health

Maverick is neutered and up-to-date on all essential vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPPx3, and Bordetella. He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate, all performed within 10 days of his transport date.

Training & Support

Maverick is already crate trained and comfortable hanging out in his personal space. He will need a family ready to guide him through house training and introduce him to walking on a leash. With his mix of intelligent, working-dog breeds, Maverick is bound to be a loyal, grounded partner once he knows he is safe. With consistent routines, gentle encouragement, and a few delicious treats, watching this handsome boy gain his confidence will be the ultimate reward!

Transporation

Maverick is currently in Oklahoma and can be transported to the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR, ID), Northeast (NY, NJ, CT, PA, MD, VA, VT), Midwest (IL, WI, IN, MI, OH, MN, IA), and West/Mountain (CO, WY, UT) regions. Adopters must be available at the scheduled transport time and location.
