Hello there! My name is Tari, and I'm a sweet 2-year-old, 22-pound girl looking for my forever home. I came to Wags from a puppy mill, and I'm still learning what it's like to be a cherished pet. I'm a bit shy right now, but my foster mom sees so much potential in me! I'm learning so much from my foster sister, which is why I'd do best in a home with another dog who can show me the ropes. I'll need a patient family who understands that it will take me some time to warm up to new people and experiences. If you have the love and patience to teach me how to be a pet, I promise to be a wonderful friend in return!

Ideal Home

I need a home with a yard, as I'm not suited for apartment living. Because loud noises can scare me, I would not do well with young children.

Ongoing Health

I am spayed, up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. I have no known special needs or health issues.

Training & Support

I am not yet housetrained or leash-trained. I ride okay in the car. I am not a barker. I am still working on warming up to strangers, but I do get along well with other dogs. My behavior with cats is unknown.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All of our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.
• We require a fenced-in area from families who own their home, however, we do adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases, a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.
• We only adopt to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR.
