About Layla

Layla was found as a stray in a very rural area outside of Houston, TX, along with several other dogs. She was rescued by a kind Samaritan and was quite skinny and covered in fleas. Thankfully, she's now at a healthy weight, has been vaccinated, and is doing wonderfully! Layla is a delightful mix of playful energy and couch potato comfort. She loves to engage in playtime but is equally happy to snuggle up with you. She's truly ready for a loving home to call her own. Because she was a stray, Layla can be a bit protective of her food, so if she has canine siblings, she'll need to be fed separately. This is a minor adjustment that won't pose a problem for the right adopter. Layla is young and has not yet been spayed, but this will be addressed at the time of adoption.

Ideal Home

Layla would love a home where she can be both active and a cherished couch companion. If you have a doggy sibling, please be prepared to feed Layla separately to ensure she feels secure with her meals.

Ongoing Health

Layla is vaccinated and has reached a healthy weight. She has not yet been spayed, but this will be considered at the time of adoption.

Training & Support

Layla is generally doing amazing! As she was a stray, she may need a little extra patience and understanding when it comes to her food guarding tendencies. Feeding her separately from other pets will help her feel more secure.
