• Huge sweetheart who loves being around his people and will get very attached to those in his inner circle

• Spent time in a foster home, and his family said he was in tune with their emotions and would come to comfort them if he thought something was wrong

• Enjoys playing tug-of-war with toys and LOVES bones and treats

• Was fully potty trained and did well when left home alone in his foster home; just remember any dog may need time to adjust to a new schedule

• Does well in the car but really wants to be close to his people and may do best with a dog seat belt; did well on hourlong car trips with his foster family

• Will follow his foster family around when they first get home, then settle down and lay his head on their shoulders or lean against them for love

• Super smart and loves to learn; already knows sit and shake and would likely enjoy learning more skills

• Made progress on leash walking in his foster home; may do best with a harness

• Did great with kids in his foster home and was very sweet and patient with children under 2 who wanted to give him love; also did very well with a large group of kids here at the shelter

• Likes spending time with dogs who have a similar play style; enjoyed going to the dog park with his foster family and making new friends

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
