Teresa is a loving, gentle, and intelligent girl who has been patiently waiting for a real family to call her own. She is sociable and enjoys the company of people. At first, she may seem cautious and a little shy, but this comes from fear of rejection. Once she feels safe, her true personality shines—she becomes affectionate, playful, and very eager for love and attention. She absolutely adores being petted and will happily seek out cuddles and human companionship. Teresa gets along well with dogs, children, men, and women. She has seen cats in cages and showed no reaction. She has never been involved in fights, even when other dogs try to bother her. She is a calm, balanced, and respectful dog who prefers peace and harmony. She walks on leash with guidance and can be transported in a crate, settling down after a short time. Teresa was found tied to a tree with a wire that had cut deeply into her neck. She was severely injured and covered in ticks, but never resisted. Despite the large scar on her neck, her sweet spirit remains.

Ongoing Health
Teresa has a scar on her neck from a previous injury, but it does not affect her spirit. She has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Teresa is not fully house-trained and may require significant patience and understanding as she adjusts to a new home. She is learning to walk on a leash and can be transported in a crate. Her rescuers emphasize that many of their rescued dogs are not potty trained and require significant effort. She will need a home with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies and a willingness to work with a trainer if needed.

Transportation
Teresa is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is available for transport to the East Coast. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery from Mexico to your home. This includes scheduled trips, a contracted transport company, all necessary legal documents (Transport Contract, USDA Health Certificate, health protocol certificates), cross-border transport into Texas for US adoptions, and real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group. The transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
