Christopher

Christopher, an 8-year-old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, is a character with a colorful past. He was once a wannabe police dog, but his bark wasn't fearsome enough and his frame too small for the rigors of police life. Now, he's all bark and no badge, ready to find a home where he can truly be himself. He's a charmer with ladies and can be bribed with chicken and cheese. He's also a good walker and non-shedding.

Ideal Home

Christopher needs a patient owner who can understand and respect his rules. He prefers a home without men, children, strangers, neighbors, delivery people, repairmen, vets, groomers, or those who want to share food. He also does not get along with big or energetic dogs. He does not want kisses goodnight or to be woken up too early in the morning. He may accept the presence of another chill dog.

Ongoing Health

Christopher is in great health, with the exception of a mild heart murmur that does not require medication.

Training & Support

Christopher gives plenty of warning if you learn his rules and listen to them. He is smart and a good walker. He is not looking for someone to "fix" him, but rather to accept him flaws and all.
