Prince

Prince is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees, a majestic 130 pounds of pure, fluffy guardian. He's a classic Great Pyrenees who is keenly aware of his surroundings and takes his role as neighborhood security very seriously. He'll dutifully inform you of everything from the Amazon driver to a passing squirrel, and he expects you to appreciate his important work! Prince is wonderful with his people, with a silly and fun-loving spirit. He's also respectful of strangers. He enjoys playtime, but like many large working breeds, his bursts of energy are short and dramatic – expect thirty-second sprints followed by a full-body collapse.

Ideal Home

Prince requires adopters who genuinely understand and appreciate the Great Pyrenees breed and all of its unique traits. He needs a securely fenced yard and is completely untrustworthy off-leash. Due to his size and protective nature, he would do best in a home with teenagers or older children.

Ongoing Health

Prince is selectively deaf, only hearing what aligns with his priorities. He sheds significantly, and he barks when he sees things – these are all characteristic behaviors of the Great Pyrenees breed.

Training & Support

Prince is not an obedience champion and is independent and thoughtful, comfortable making his own decisions. He is perfectly housebroken and supremely well-mannered in the home. He does take feedback personally, so a gentle approach is best.
