Dex is a bright and affectionate 1.5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who forms deep bonds with his people. He's playful, intuitive, and happiest when he feels secure and included. Dex loves games like tug-of-war and fetch, and he gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, always being respectful of their cues and backing off if they aren't interested in playing. He's also excellent on leash, walking calmly without pulling and showing no reactivity to other dogs. Dex is intelligent, eager to learn, and enjoys structure, making him a great candidate for continued training. He's fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping soundly through the night and is well-behaved when left alone as long as his energy needs are met. Once he bonds with his family, Dex is incredibly loving and enjoys cuddling and showing his loyalty.
Ideal Home
Dex would thrive in a home with adult adopters who enjoy walks and outdoor activities. He needs a home without cats or other small animals due to his strong prey drive. He would also do best in an adult-only home or with dog-savvy teens who understand boundaries, as he can be unsure and may growl when initially meeting new people.

Dex is up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. He has no known health issues.

Dex is house-trained and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He is eager to learn and responds well to training.
