Meet Fox Creek Ranch Vizslas. Kristina Shaw is from Missouri and breeds Vizslas. FoxCreekRanch VIZSLAS We have had Vizslas since 2005 and have bred 8 litters.. Jackpot’s Going Going Gone,Homer was our son's show dog and our first Vizsla.He was very successful,winning an Award of Merit at Westminster in 2008,numerous Best Of Breed Wins,Group Placements and many Best Jr.Handler in Jr.Showmanship.When Will went to college I pursued training him in many events;Agility, Tracking,Obedience and Hunting.He was a great competitor and very successful nationally into his teens.He Was Best Veteran at the National Specialty twice at 10 and 13 years.He died of kidney disease at 14years and 350 days.His father lived to 18. We got Beatrice,Jackpot’s Fcr Never In Pink ,in 2014 and successfully pursued a competitive Performance career a Grand Championship in Conformation and a Championship in Agility.She has been very successful in Competition Obedience and Rally and has been invited to the prestigious National Obedience Championships every year that she competed.We hope to finish her Tracking Championship this year, then on to Master Hunter.Additionally,she has been invited to but did not attend the prestigious National Obedience Championships every year that she competed. Iddy,FCR NEVER IN LARGE and Bones,FCR GO FIND EM, from Bea's first litter, are owned by Brad and me, Quest,FCR QUEST FOR QUAIL owned by Pat Martin and Scout,FCR INTERNATIONAL SCOUT, owned by Kelli Rae Pattan and family have been very successful,as well,winning many awards locally and nationally in AKC Conformation and Performance classes. I spend most of my days training dogs to determine if my breeding program is producing sound,happy willing to please puppies.I do not breed for," show," conformation as that can be faddish.I breed functional conformation which is sound movement, athleticism and good health.The goal is that my dogs are sound for life and can compete in any venue.That being said my dogs do very well in Conformation and get their championships quickly and easily because they are Beautiful Correct Movers. FCR VIZSLAS have advanced titles in the Sports that exhibit the integrated relationship between Humans and Canines;Tracking,Master Hunt,Obedience,Agility and Rally.All of my Vizslas have the VCD2 TITLE,which not many dogs have attained of any breed.This is because the Tracking part is so difficult.The Pass rate in AKC Tracking is 4%,the lowest of any AKC Sport. The letters stand for Versatile Companion Dog,and include advanced titles in Agility,Obedience and Tracking. Tracking in addition to hunting diverse game was the original purpose of the Vizsla.This title is very important to me as it shows that my dogs can be trained to be successful in different venues.Fox Creek Ranch Vizslas want to work with their human companion. I am very proud of my Vizslas and am complimented at almost every show by both judges and spectators who find them to be ,"the happiest dogs competing."This is primarily in Obedience,where dogs are not usually Happy AND Obedient. My husband Brad is a member of several Search and Rescue Groups.Bones,a son of Bea and Homer is his Tracking Dog.Bones is Certified each year by Nationally Recognized SAR associations and has been completely trained by myself and Brad.All of my Vizslas are Trained in the SAR areas of Tracking,Human Remains Detection and Water Search.He has since added Daisey,who we bred but was crippled as a puppy to his Team.She excels in Tracking and HRD as well. We are not professional trainers by any measure which is why all my Breeding Vizslas,as well as the Vizslas that we use as Studs have Advanced Titles in Hunting,Field Trials and or Obedience. I want to breed puppies that are easy to train for any future owner and that wake up every day wanting to please You! All of my dogs are completely Health Tested per Vizsla Club of America requirements and Orthopedic Foundation of America.These tests include hip and elbow dysplasia,eyes,auto-immune thyroiditis,and cardio. Each dog has an OFA CHIC NUMBER.These tests do not ensure that puppies are not affected,but lessen the chance. FCR puppies go home ready to be a fun,amenable,healthy addition to your home,because they are bred to be.Their parents have proven stability and eagerness to please in many environments,and the puppies are worked with daily. The puppies are started at 4 weeks playing interactive games with me.The games are designed to build their trust and desire to work with people.I continue these games the entire 10 weeks that I have them.Puppies go home being lead trained,crate trained using a potty box regularly started on Birds,Tracking exposed to Children,different Venues,Agility and lots of OUTDOOR.I spend a lot of time Training and Evaluating Puppies,to insure that you get the right puppy for you.
