Baker is a charming six-year-old gentleman who is ready to fill your home with love and snuggles. He's a certified couch loaf and an expert cuddler who believes laps are made for dogs just like him. Baker is incredibly gentle, even with curious little hands, and is polite on walks and efficient with his backyard potty breaks. He's a true "Velcro dog" and is slowly learning to nap in other rooms without worry. Baker is also calm around the house, eager to please (especially with treats!), and is a dramatic snorer, frequent farter, and proud one-ear-flopper. He has a hilarious "baby cry" whimper when left behind and a talent for hopping baby gates if it means getting back to his person. He's not a fan of crates and would much prefer a comfy bed, ideally yours. Baker is looking for a human who won't give up on him, someone he can check on when they're sad, snuggle when they're tired, and love with his whole goofy, wiggly self. His foster mama describes him as one of the sweetest and easiest dogs she's ever fostered, a true gentle giant who thrives on affection and being close to his people. He enjoys his daily walks, loves dog parks, and is a fantastic companion on car rides and outings. Baker has a history behind those soulful eyes but is so ready for his happily ever after, having even been featured on Fox4 news as the Dallas Pet of the Day.
Ideal Home
Baker would thrive in a home where he can be close to his people, as he is a true "Velcro dog" and experiences separation anxiety when left alone. He is not a fan of crates and prefers a comfortable bed, ideally shared with his human. He is great with kids and other dogs, and enjoys dog parks and outings.

Baker is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
Training & Support
Baker is potty trained and leash polite. He is learning commands and eager to please. He is working on not worrying when he is separated from his people and is learning to nap in other rooms.
