Hello there! I'm Shirley, and I'm told my eyes are my most attractive feature – they can be amber, blue, or green depending on the light! My back paws look like I've dipped them in white paint, adding a touch of flair. While I might be on the smaller side compared to my sister, I'm told I'm mighty and not easily scared. My sister Laverne and I were rescued from a less-than-ideal situation in southern Minnesota and have since been enjoying all the comforts of our foster home. I'm working hard on my potty training, but I've mastered ringing the bell to let you know I need to go out! I'm also a champion at kennel training and sleep soundly through the night with my cozy blankets and some classical piano music. I'm learning "sit" and "stay," but sometimes my excitement gets the better of me. I love to play with other puppies and thoroughly enjoy food and affection from my humans. I live with two human siblings, a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, and I think we all adore each other! I even attend my human sister's track meets and have met several small humans, whom I greet with enthusiasm. I haven't met any cats yet, but I do have two resident dog siblings. Blanche, a 6-year-old Pitbull/Boxer mix, enjoys her alone time, while Stanley, a younger Weimaraner/Pitbull mix, loves to play with puppies. I tend to be more dominant with my sister Laverne and more submissive with Blanche and Stanley. We enjoy racing for toys, playing tug-of-war, and chasing tennis balls. I also love to cuddle with any dog or human who will let me! I'm a perfect mix of spunk, sass, playfulness, and love. My dream day involves a full day with my human, filled with eating, napping, and playing. I'm a bit like Shirley from the TV show "Laverne & Shirley" – sweet but I can stand up for myself. My favorite toys include bones and tennis balls, but I'm not too picky! I enjoy a good mix of cuddles and snoozes, as a girl needs her beauty sleep. My tail wags the hardest when my humans come home, when I'm let out of my kennel, and especially when it's time for food! I might even throw in a little bark to speed things along.
