If your idea of the perfect companion includes cozy couch nights, leisurely walks, and a dog who greets you like you've returned from a grand adventure every single day, Maris may be your girl.

Maris is a truly sweet, easygoing dog with a heart full of love and a talent for making ordinary days feel extra cozy. Her favorite place in the world is snuggled beside her people under a soft blanket, but don't mistake her for a total couch potato-she also enjoys getting outside for walks, sniffing adventures, and fresh air (preferably when it's above freezing, thank you very much).

She's wonderfully social and has lived peacefully with cats and shown playful curiosity around other dogs. On walks, Maris likes to take in all the important neighborhood news, which means she occasionally zig-zags from scent to scent. She's polite on leash and enjoys her strolls, and with a little continued practice checking in with her person, she'll only get better. Because exploring is so exciting, she'll do best enjoying outdoor time safely leashed or in a secure space.

Maris has mastered the art of being affectionate without being clingy. She loves being near her people but is also content to relax and do her own thing. Daily walks, some quality sniff time in the yard, and a comfy place to land make for a pretty perfect day in her book.

She also has a playful side! Maris adores soft toys and considers it her personal mission to lovingly dismantle them (don't worry-she leaves the fluff behind). Tug is another favorite, although she approaches competition with impressive enthusiasm, so sturdy toys are encouraged. When she wants to play, she'll let you know with adorable little foot stomps and dramatic huffs-and when you come home, prepare yourself for full-body wiggles of happiness.

Maris is currently thriving on a limited ingredient diet and takes medication for her paws, but her routine is simple and doesn't slow her down from enjoying life.

Gentle, joyful, cuddly, and full of personality, Maris is ready for her forever home-a place where she can enjoy soft blankets, sunny walks, and being adored exactly as she deserves.
