Wanda is a sweet 2-3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, weighing about 38 lbs. She was found wandering the streets, malnourished and covered in ticks and fleas. Despite her rough start, Wanda is incredibly active, playful, social with adults, energetic, and full of love! She enjoys a good romp and is always up for an adventure.
Ideal Home
Wanda would thrive in a home with a family experienced with her breed, who enjoys outdoor activities and daily walks. A securely fenced backyard is a must. She needs a family with an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, possessing experience in dog behavior and training. Wanda does best as the only dog in the household, as she hasn't shown aggression towards smaller dogs, but it's preferred she be the sole canine companion. Patience and understanding are key, especially for rescued pups.
Ongoing Health
Wanda has received a comprehensive health protocol, including a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Wanda is not house-trained and will require dedicated training and patience in this area. Her foster team emphasizes that due to the high number of rescued pets needing extensive care, house-training each one is an impossible task. She needs a family committed to providing ongoing education and support.
