Floki

Floki (#183722) is a big, happy boy who loves people and greets new friends right away, especially if they happen to have a treat. Floki takes those very seriously. If he gets distracted, just show him a snack and suddenly you have his full attention. He's a five-year-old, 85-pound bundle of joy who is super friendly with people. His previous owner described him as a couch potato, but don't let that fool you - he's also a happy, active boy looking for a family of his own. Floki is very treat-motivated, which makes him a joy to train and engage with. He likes toys of all kinds and is good on walks. Funny story: I brought my good (but heavy) camera to take pictures, and it immediately turned into a challenge. I didn't have any help, the one-handed strap broke, and Floki-who clearly hadn't been out in a while-was very excited. I was just trying to keep him somewhere in the frame, not even thinking about whether I was capturing a good expression. Honestly, I figured I wasn't getting much that was usable. But later, when I sat down to go through the photos, I flipped through more than 100 shots-and in about 97 of them, Floki had the biggest, happiest smile on his face. Turns out, I didn't need perfect technique... I just needed Floki.

Ideal Home

Floki would thrive in a home with a comfy couch for him to relax on, and plenty of treats and toys to keep him happy. He is not good with young children.

Training & Support

Floki is very treat-motivated, which can be a great asset for training. He is dog selective, meaning he is interactive with some dogs but not all, so introductions should be managed carefully.
