Chance is a 4-year-old, neutered, and vaccinated Staffie mix with an old soul and a smile that can brighten anyone's day. He was rescued from an overcrowded Houston shelter after being abandoned and has a gentle, goofy, and loving nature. He's a fantastic companion who enjoys playing with other dogs, especially larger ones, and is polite with female dogs. Chance has excellent house manners, is fully house-trained, and sleeps through the night. He's happy to nap in an open crate or anywhere cozy. He's also a wonderful walking buddy who enjoys fresh air but is just as content lounging or cuddling. Chance loves car rides and learning routines, even having a funny way of reminding you when you're running late. He's a smart boy with a playful, slightly mischievous streak and a love for treats, making him a great candidate for continued training.
Ideal Home
Chance would thrive in a loving home with a relaxed, predictable routine. He would do best with older kids who can enjoy his energy without getting knocked over. He would also do well with another dog his size or as the beloved only dog. Due to his strong prey drive, cats will be a no for Chance.
Ongoing Health
Chance is neutered and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Chance can be a little stubborn when something catches his attention, like squirrels, but he remembers his manners when offered a cookie. His love of treats makes him a great candidate for continued training. He is not a fan of having a crate door closed, but happily naps in open crates.
