Meet Petunia! This sweet, social, and curious 11-month-old Lab mix is ready to bring her playful energy and affectionate cuddles to your family. She's already shown herself to be a loving and adaptable pup, thriving in her foster home where she lives with multiple dogs, a cat, and even young children. Petunia loves being part of the action, whether she's romping in the snow or snuggling up for pets. By choosing Petunia, you're not only saving her life but also making space for another dog in need.
Ideal Home
Petunia would thrive in a home that is ready for the fun and adventure of raising a puppy. She would love a family of any size that enjoys spending time together. Because she is so social and has done wonderfully with other dogs, she would enjoy having a canine sibling, but she would also be okay as an only dog. She has already shown she can do great with kids and has been gentle and affectionate with the young children in her foster home.
Ongoing Health
Petunia is up to date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. She has also been spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Petunia is still young and will need a family committed to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Implementing routine, structure, boundaries, and proper socialization from the start is essential. We require adoptive families to crate train their puppy immediately upon arrival in their new home, which helps with potty training, energy management, and developing a well-balanced adult dog.

Transporation
Petunia is currently fostered in the Indianapolis, IN area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, and connect with fellow adopters through our private Facebook event page. Please note there is an additional $87 surcharge due to rising transportation costs.
