AL

AL is a handsome, friendly, and aloof German Shepherd with moderate-to-high energy who is absolutely obsessed with his ball! He'll trot around the yard with it, chew on it, and entertain himself for hours. He's curious, engaging, and quiet in his kennel, and walks nicely on leash. However, he can be a bit of a spaz in the yard when being leashed, jumping around and trying to chew on it. While he didn't react to other dogs passing his kennel, he did show some barrier reactivity in the yard. Poor Al is underweight and needs a healthy diet to help him gain some weight.

Ideal Home

Al would thrive in a home that can provide him with endless balls to play with and a yard where he can run and play. He would also benefit from a patient owner who can help him with his leash reactivity in the yard.

Training & Support

Al can be a bit of a spaz when being leashed in the yard and might try to chew on the leash. He also showed some barrier reactivity in the yard. He nipped another male dog during an introduction, but did better with a female dog. We strongly recommend slow intros with any new dogs.
