Spruce

Spruce is a sweet, affectionate boy who embodies loyalty. He loves his people dearly and will happily follow you from room to room, always ready to shower you with love and kisses. Spruce wants to be part of everything you do and is a playful, curious soul full of personality. He loves toys, plushies, and bones, and is great at catching a ball or frisbee. One of his cutest quirks is his obsession with blankets; he carries them around the house daily! He also loves water, so a future swimming buddy might be in the cards. Spruce gets along great with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a playful canine companion. While he hasn't had much experience with cats, he did meet a couple of children briefly and did very well. Despite everything he's been through, including being shot, he has absolutely no fear and a huge zest for life. Incredibly resilient, he would make a wonderful companion and loyal protector.

Ideal Home

Spruce would thrive in an active home where he can join in on hiking, running, and outdoor adventures once he's fully recovered.

Ongoing Health

Spruce is currently being treated for heartworm, which has limited his activity.

Training & Support

Spruce is fully potty trained and has made amazing progress with kennel training, now going in on his own. He knows basic commands like "sit," "lay down," and "wait," especially at mealtime.
