Pondsy, as he's affectionately known, is almost 2 years old and weighs around 60 pounds of pure, unadulterated joy. His glossy black coat shines, and his warm brown eyes are guaranteed to melt your heart. When he greets his favorite people, get ready for the signature "Pondsy Wiggle" and an enthusiastic tail wag, often followed by a happy flop for belly rubs!
Pondsy is an adventure enthusiast, always eager to join you on hikes, walks, or even just a car ride nap. He's a curious and silly pup who loves to have fun, making him the perfect hiking companion. But don't let his adventurous side fool you; he's also a devoted snuggle bug who cherishes quiet time once the adventures are done.
Ideal Home
Pondsy would thrive in a home with a friendly, medium-energy female dog to romp and play with, but he would also be content as the sole canine star of your life. He is best suited for a home without cats, as they are a bit too enticing for him. He also does best without small children, as they can be a bit overwhelming. Teenagers (13+) and adults, however, are perfect companions for Pondsy, and he will bond deeply with them. He could potentially do well in a first-floor apartment with sufficient exercise and mental stimulation, but a yard would be a wonderful bonus for him to zoom around in.
Ongoing Health
Pondsy is a resilient trooper! He underwent leg surgery and has diligently completed physical therapy, emerging stronger and happier than ever. His back leg now has a unique characteristic that adds to his charm and does not hinder his love for running, playing, and zooming.
Training & Support
Pondsy is a smart and eager dog. He has benefited from our trainers' expertise on our Texas property, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking, preparing him for his forever home.

Transporation
Pondsy is located at our Texas-based rescue. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for all pets. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies to cover transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
