This beautiful Black Lab mix is an energetic and loving pup with a heart as big as her personality. At an estimated 44lbs and born around May 5, 2023, Dahlia is always ready for an adventure, a cuddle, or to make a new friend. Her resilience shines through her incredible story: she was found bravely protecting her young puppies and, despite facing euthanasia, a foster stepped in to save her. Now, this happy girl is thriving and ready to find the forever home she so richly deserves. She adores company and would do best in a home with other animals to play with and learn from. Whether she's zooming around the yard, charming new acquaintances at the park, or snuggling after a day of fun, Dahlia brings pure joy wherever she goes.

Training & Support
Dahlia is already using a doggy door to go potty like a pro and is currently learning leash training. Like many young dogs, she still has some puppy habits she's working through. She is working on crate training and plenty of toys are very helpful for her success. She absolutely loves having lots of toys to play with and does best when she has enrichment and companionship. She's still young, curious, and learning about the world, so she'll do best with a family excited to continue her training and help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be.

Transportation
Dahlia is located in Houston, TX. Transport is available out of state, with pickup locations potentially varying to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. Adopters can track their dog using the Life360 app and receive updates from transport. Facebook chats are also available for tracking updates. Please be prepared to use one of these services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
