Monte Scarlatto

Hi there! My name is Monte Scarlatto, but my friends call me Monte. I was born around September 3rd, 2023, and I weigh about 18 pounds. The humans think I'm a Havanese mix, but I'll let you be the judge! I'm a super affectionate pup who loves getting belly rubs and will happily share my personal space with you – if you're lucky! My absolute favorite thing in the world is a game of fetch. I could chase that ball for hours, so if I drop it at your feet, get ready for some fun!

I can be a bit of an anxious guy, so I'm looking for a patient and understanding person who can help me learn to navigate the things that sometimes scare me. My foster mom is working with me, and we're making progress, but I need to take things slow and steady. Grooming isn't my favorite activity, so you might want to consider a professional groomer for me. I'm house-trained and crate-trained, though I'm not a big fan of spending time in my crate. I get along well with other dogs and I don't mind sharing my home with them, but my person is definitely my number one!

Ideal Home

I would love a home with an enclosed yard where I can safely play fetch. Because I can be a bit anxious, I would do best in a home without young children.

No specific health conditions to report at this time. I am neutered.

Training & Support

I am house-trained and crate-trained, but I do not enjoy being in my crate. I am working on building confidence and overcoming some anxieties, so patience and positive reinforcement will be key. I may benefit from professional grooming.
