About Hugo

Meet Hugo, a handsome 3-year-old, 65-pound Labrador with a heart full of love and a passion for all things water! Hugo is a tall and lean athletic boy who is happiest when he has a purpose. He's described as a "water dog" who will find any puddle, pond, or lake in seconds! Hugo thrives on structure, enrichment, and consistency. He's an intelligent dog who is eager to learn and be part of a team. Hugo had a rough start, being abandoned at only one year old. He was labeled "too crazy," but in reality, he was just a young, energetic pup who needed guidance. Now more mature, Hugo is looking for a patient and understanding family who can teach him to be a well-mannered house dog and provide him with the stability he deserves. With patience, plenty of exercise, and lots of water fun, Hugo will blossom into an incredibly loyal, joyful, and adventurous companion. He's ready for his second chance and a lifetime of love and splashes!

Ideal Home

Hugo needs a home that can provide him with plenty of outlets for his high energy. He thrives when he has a job to do or training to focus on. Structure, enrichment, and consistency are key to his success.

Ongoing Health

Hugo is a healthy boy. All vetting, including necessary vaccines, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention, is up-to-date.

Training & Support

Hugo is eager to learn and needs a family willing to teach him the ways of being a well-mannered house dog. Patience and consistency will be crucial in helping him succeed.
