Kevin is a handsome, big boy with a heart of gold! This 6 1/2-year-old Golden Retriever weighs around 90 lbs and is looking for his forever family to share his love with. He's a true "velcro dog" who loves to be by his people's side, always ready for a good pet or a game of fetch. Kevin has a delightful personality and a hilarious habit of carrying multiple toys around in his mouth at once! He's also making great progress with his swimming skills in our kennel pool, getting a little braver each day.

Ideal Home

Kevin would thrive in a home with a secure, above-ground physical fence where he can safely run and play. He has a history of running through electric fences, so this is a must. While he's done well with other dogs through the fence, he's likely best as an only pet, as he's not reported to be good with unfamiliar dogs or smaller dogs. He has lived with children aged 8 and 11 and did well, so he's likely to be a good fit for families with children of that age or older.

Ongoing Health

Kevin is currently working on a weight loss plan. He's already lost 7 lbs in two months through exercise and a controlled diet, and he has about 10 lbs more to go.

Training & Support

Kevin can be reactive to other dogs and cyclists when on leash. He was reported to be trustworthy when left alone in his previous home.
