Trixie is a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old, 12 lb Yorkie mix who is searching for her special person. She’s a true lap dog at heart, happiest when she’s curled up close to her favorite human, showering them with love. Trixie is also a clever and communicative girl who enjoys walks and is doing wonderfully with her potty training. Once she feels secure, her naturally chill and cuddly personality shines through. She’s had limited positive interactions with cats and has not shown any reactivity.
Trixie's journey began when rescuers found her and her four tiny puppies cold and wet in the rain outside a store. They were immediately brought to safety and fostered, where Trixie proved to be a devoted mama. After her puppies found their own loving homes, Trixie was adopted and spent a year with her family. She was recently returned to us because while Trixie bonds deeply, she can be protective of her person and selective with other dogs. She may also be wary of strangers.
Ideal Home
Trixie would thrive in a quiet, patient, and understanding one-person home where she can feel safe, secure, and cherished. She needs to be the only pet in the household.

Trixie can be protective and may guard her person. She is also selective with other dogs and can be wary of strangers. With patience and understanding, she will flourish in her new home.
