A little about them
Sutton is a gentle, affectionate 3-year-old Aussiedoodle weighing 70 pounds. He may be shy for his first few minutes with new people, then quickly becomes a loving cuddle bug who enjoys staying close to his person. He is a sweet, sensitive, loyal companion who would thrive with an experienced adopter ready to provide structure, exercise, and mental enrichment.
Ideal Home
Sutton needs an adopter with primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, or energy level. He needs a long morning walk, additional potty-break strolls, socialization, and mental stimulation throughout the day. He is gentle and tolerant with children, generally enjoys other dogs, and may not be suited to a home with cats or small pets because he chases squirrels and birds. He is still adjusting to city noise and can be startled by loud trucks.
Ongoing Health
Sutton is healthy as far as known, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on DHPP, Bordetella, and rabies vaccines. He was treated with dewormer upon intake.
Training & Support
Sutton is house trained with few or no accidents and lets his person know when he needs an extra potty break. He walks nicely with very little pulling, responds well to his name and verbal cues, and is motivated by praise. He does not chew household items, guard food or toys, or bark at the doorbell. He is not crate trained and currently free-ranges in a puppy-proofed home. He may cry briefly when left alone but settles quickly.
