About Scout
Scout is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities. Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Scout can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life; in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Scout is never without a safety net – he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found.
Scout is a typical 4-month-old puppy who is believed to be a wonderful mix of Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepherd. He is currently a handsome 20-pound package of pure puppy joy, who absolutely loves people. Because he is so young, it can be safely assumed that he will do great with children. Scout is fantastic with other dogs! He tends to be the "rough and tumble" one of the group, but he always plays well with others and is great at socializing. He can be tested with cats upon request. He is already doing okay in his crate. While he hasn't had any official training on a leash or with housebreaking just yet, he is a smart boy who should learn the ropes quickly with a consistent routine. He'll just need a patient family ready to guide him through his puppy milestones!
Ideal Home
A loving family who will cherish him as a member and be patient as he learns.
Ongoing Health
Scout is neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPx3, and Bordetella). He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate, all performed within 10 days of his transport date.
Training & Support
Scout is doing okay in his crate. He will need consistent routine and patience for leash and housebreaking training.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Scout's adoption fee is $1,200, which includes his neuter, all veterinary care, and transport.
