Honey

Honey Comb is a wonderfully sweet and affectionate 6-year-old terrier mix who weighs 68 lbs. She's a perfect blend of playful energy and calm companionship, making her an ideal cuddle buddy and a great work-from-home assistant. Honey Comb loves to be close to her humans, always finding a way to nuzzle in for a good snuggle, but she's also independent enough to entertain herself with a chew toy or by watching the world go by. When it's time for fun, she's ready for anything – zoomies in the yard, neighborhood walks, car rides, or engaging puzzle toys. She greets everyone, young and old, with a big smile, wagging tail, and a signature "stop, drop, and roll" for belly rubs. Honey Comb has excellent manners, is smart, and learns routines quickly, showing great respect around food. She's eager to find a forever family to fill with cuddles, smiles, and unconditional love.

Ideal Home

Honey Comb would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of quality time with her people. She absolutely needs a fenced-in backyard for playing fetch and sunbathing. A quieter suburban or rural setting is preferred over a busy city, as she loves exploring nature trails and hikes. As the only pet, Honey Comb can truly shine and form strong bonds with her humans, soaking up all the love and attention. A feline-free home is recommended as she has not been tested with cats. She'd be happiest with human siblings aged 4 and up, as her happy tail might accidentally bump a very small child.

Ongoing Health

Honey Comb is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She has a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has received any necessary vet care while in our care.

Training & Support

Honey Comb is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She communicates her need to potty by "tap dancing" by the door and will not have accidents in the home, even when left alone for a full workday. She walks beautifully on quieter nature trails. While she is not destructive, she would love a monthly BarkBox subscription for new toys and chews to keep her busy, especially on rainy days.

Transportation

Honey Comb is in a foster home in Austin, TX. We have monthly transports, and adoptive families are responsible for meeting the transport to pick up their new family member. Please note that dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported, and we cannot arrange transport for meet-and-greet situations.
