Lentil Lou is a 1.5-year-old, 55 lb German Shepherd mix who is sure to bring joy and laughter into your life! She has the spirit of a playful puppy with a heart full of love. Lentil Lou is incredibly social and greets everyone with enthusiasm, always ready to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. She adores other dogs and her happy-go-lucky personality is contagious. Lentil Lou is the perfect blend of cuddly sweetheart and playful goofball, promising endless cuteness, affection, and fun companionship.

Ideal Home

Lentil Lou would thrive in a semi-active home with a family who enjoys neighborhood walks and is looking for a super affectionate companion. She would be happiest in a home with children 12 years and older. She would do well in a home with another playful dog, but can also be the one and only pet. A backyard would be ideal for her to stretch her legs and enjoy the sunshine.

Lentil Lou is believed to be a German Shepherd mix, around 1.5 years old and 55 lbs. As with any rescue, breed and age cannot be guaranteed.

Training & Support

Lentil Lou is a smart and eager-to-please girl who is treat motivated. She already knows how to sit and is ready to learn more! She walks fairly nicely on a leash, though may pull occasionally out of excitement. She responds well to gentle reminders and can be tandem walked with other dogs. Lentil Lou is crate trained and potty trained. With patience, consistency, and treats, training will be a fun and rewarding bonding experience.

Transporation

Lentil Lou is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport is available to locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
