Jeffery

Jeffery is a 2-3 year old, 90-95lb male Staffordshire Terrier mix who is a gentle giant with people! He was unfortunately dumped at the Dallas shelter and likely lived as a junkyard dog before finding his way to rescue. Despite his past, Jeffery is incredibly loving and enjoys nothing more than cuddling on the couch for movie nights. He's already crate trained and potty trained, and he knows his commands. If you raise your voice when walking him, he'll back up and sit beside you, showing his sensitive nature.

Ideal Home

Jeffery would do best in a home with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children aged 12 and up. He would not be a good fit for a dog park enthusiast, as he prefers leisurely strolls. He needs to be the only dog in the household, as he does not like other male dogs and his compatibility with female dogs is questionable. Tie-outs and electric fences are not suitable for Jeffery.

Ongoing Health

Jeffery is heartworm negative and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Jeffery is already crate and potty trained and knows basic commands. He is sensitive to raised voices, so positive reinforcement training methods are recommended.
