Meet Chanel, a resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who has overcome a tough beginning. She was found abandoned in a crowded shelter in New Mexico and was on the euthanasia list, scared and shut down. Thankfully, she was brought to Texas where she has blossomed into a happy and energetic dog who even donates blood to help other animals! While her transformation is incredible, she is still learning and searching for a patient family.
Chanel enjoys toys and balls, especially soft squeakers. She can get startled by loud noises and is still learning how to play with her toys. She is also a bit flinchy when hands reach toward her, a reminder of her past trauma. She needs a gentle and understanding environment where she can feel safe and learn to trust at her own pace.
Ideal Home
Chanel would thrive in a home with a patient and understanding family. She would also benefit from a canine companion to help her build confidence and learn to trust again.

Chanel is a healthy, spayed, and up-to-date on all vetting.
Training & Support
Chanel needs continued positive reinforcement and gentle guidance as she builds trust. She is still working through past trauma and may be startled easily. Patience and a calm environment will be key to her success.

- For those being picked up at our Angleton, Tx location, there is a $75 fee which includes all vetting: DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, micro-chipping, a collar, and many years of laughs and love to come!
Transportation
Chanel is available for transportation in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH, LA. AZ is coming soon! Transport is available to predetermined locations and times, with prices ranging from $100-$500. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request for an additional fee. Texas adopters have a $250 flat rate fee for transporting within the state. Our transport vehicles are equipped with air conditioning and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. You can follow your pet's journey through a private Facebook event page. Our Adoption Coordinator will help find the closest transport pickup location to you.
