Rubin is a young adult male who is sweet and smart, with a comical personality to boot! If you have a sense of humor and patience, Rubin might be the perfect companion for you. He loves to play in the water and is doing better around new people. Rubin also gets along well with other dogs, and he's even learning to be more comfortable around smaller dogs. He can be a bit of a foodie and might be tempted by leftovers, but otherwise, he generally stays out of trouble when loose in the house. Rubin is working hard to overcome his anxieties, and it's rewarding to see his progress!

Ideal Home

Rubin would do best in a home that is calm and offers a stable routine. He is anxious around new people and changes, so a patient adopter who can help him continue to build confidence is key. He enjoys playing with other dogs but may not be a good fit for homes with cats.

Rubin is working through some anxieties, which are being managed with continued exposure and socialization.

Training & Support

Rubin needs continued socialization and exposure to new things to help him remain outgoing and less anxious. He is working on his comfort with car rides. He is a people dog who can also alert you when other dogs need to go out.
