Salvador is a resilient and loving 6-year-old, 36 lb mixed breed boy with a remarkable story of survival. He was found as a stray in Puerto Rico and, despite facing severe health challenges like botulism and distemper, he has fully recovered and is now thriving. He's a happy and healthy dog, though he can be a bit shy at first until he learns to trust. Salvador absolutely adores playing with other dogs and truly shines when he has a canine companion. His one "quirk" is a fear of thunderstorms; he'll need a comforting presence to snuggle with during storms, and in return, he'll be your most devoted snuggle buddy.

Ideal Home

Salvador would thrive in a home with at least one other dog, as he loves to play with his canine friends and is much more confident with a buddy. He needs a patient and understanding family who can help him build trust and provide comfort during thunderstorms.

Ongoing Health

Salvador has made a full recovery from botulism and distemper. He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, and is on heartworm, flea, and tick preventative.

Training & Support

Salvador is generally shy with new people but warms up with trust and patience. He has a great fear of thunderstorms and needs a supportive owner to provide comfort during these times.
