Darwin

Meet Darwin, an almost 6-year-old, very loyal boy who is eager for adventure and affection! Darwin would make a fantastic hiking partner. He’s good with other dogs, both large and small, and loves to join in on any playtime. Darwin is believed to have some heeler in him, as he’s very responsive to commands and enjoys working the yard. With a patient and understanding person, he's a quick learner and would excel with continued training. In the evenings, Darwin is the perfect companion to curl up with. He walks well on leash and with consistent training, he could even be trusted off-leash. Darwin is quite vocal and excitable, making him better suited for a home with some space rather than an apartment. He'll happily let you know when any squirrels dare to enter the yard! Darwin would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children.

Darwin would thrive in a home with plenty of space, ideally in a rural setting or a house with a yard, where his vocal nature won't be an issue. He would do best with older, dog-savvy children.
