Rex

Rex is a joyful, playful, and energetic Cattle Dog mix who is approximately 3 years old and weighs about 35 lbs. He was rescued at just 2 months old and has spent his life waiting for a family to call his own. Rex is sweet and enjoys being near his people without being overly clingy. He has a fun personality and is always up for an adventure, whether it's running, hiking, or just exploring. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and people, and he's a smart boy who is eager to learn. Rex walks well on a leash and is crate trained. He is the last of his litter still hoping for his forever home.

Ideal Home

Rex would thrive in an active and loving home that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family willing to give him structure, patience, and love. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. He is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Rex has a comprehensive health protocol including a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and he is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. He also comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Rex is not house-trained and will need a family with high tolerance and patience. He is looking for a home with experience in dog behavior and training. Adopters should be willing to wait at least 3 months for him to show his best personality.

Transportation

Rex is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast via a cross-country trip. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure, which covers delivery to the adopter's home address.
