Alonso

Hi, friends! My name is Alonso, and I've come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home! I'm a 7-year-old, 45-pound Border Collie mix with a mellow and sweet personality. I'm already neutered, potty-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. I love my humans and enjoy cuddling on the couch, sun-bathing in the yard, napping, playing with my toys, going for walks and car rides, and getting belly rubs. Although I'm generally mellow, I do get the zoomies in the backyard and enjoy a game of fetch. I'm also comfortable being on my own for periods of time.

Ideal Home

I'd love a mellow home where I can be the adored only pet, as I don't do well around other animals. Older kids (eight and older) would be a great fit for me. I thrive when I have plenty of time around my people!

Ongoing Health

To manage my kidney issues, I eat Royal Canin Vet Diet Adult Gastrointestinal Low Fat Dry Dog Food. I have limited vision in my right eye and am blind in my left. I also take Prednisone Acetate and Optixcare Plus lubricant for my eyes, and Telmisartan to manage my high blood pressure.

Training & Support

I'm already a pro at potty, house, and leash training. I'm also great on my own with very little signs of separation anxiety.
