Charlemagne

Charlemagne is a 3-year-old, 79lb male dog who is looking for his forever home! He's a social butterfly who loves being the center of attention and is always happy to be by your side. Charlemagne is an affectionate cuddler who snores when he sleeps, and he enjoys a good romp in the grass. He's a curious boy who loves meeting new people and is investigative of his surroundings. While he doesn't bark excessively, he does have a strong prey drive and will try to chase squirrels and bunnies.

Ideal Home

Charlemagne would do well with children and would thrive in a more mature home where all family members are old enough to handle his size and energy. He may do well with dog friends who are like-minded, but it's recommended to do a slow introduction, especially when it comes to his food, chews, or toys, as he may not always want to share. He has done well with adult cats in the past, but not kittens, so a very slow introduction to any resident felines is recommended to ensure everyone's comfort and success.

Training & Support

Charlemagne knows "sit," "down," and "shake" and loves treats, making him a fun candidate for further training! He is fully housetrained and crate-trained from his previous home, but as with any dog, he may need some time to adjust to a new routine. He loves going on walks and does best with a harness. Given his love for exploring, lots of exercise and outdoor time would be very beneficial for him.
