Hello! My name is Frank, but my friends call me Frankie Doodle. I'm a distinguished gentleman of 7 years, and I recently celebrated my birthday (I'm a Gemini). I'm a svelte 24 pounds of pure charm, and my foster family keeps calling me a "good boy," which is nice because...well...I obviously am. I'm newly retired from the puppy mill life, and let me tell you...being a spoiled house dog is WAY better. I'm more "retired grandpa who enjoys snacks, naps, and quietly judging your life choices from his blanket nest on the floor." (What's a couch anyway?)
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a forever home where any kids are at least 6. A fence would be great too, but if you're willing to work with me on leash skills it's not required. I'm too vocal for apartments or other housing with shared walls. A home with fewer stairs or a human able to carry me would be best.
Ongoing Health
My foster Mom thinks I have a little hearing loss, so sometimes I don't hear you the first time. I also have a little facial droop on one side that just gives me extra character. My back legs also point outward a bit, which gives me a unique little strut. They work just fine, and a vet had checked me out and said it's nothing that needs treatment. I am also still learning stairs and perfecting my house training. I sleep best in my kennel and I wake up dry.
Training & Support
I'm still working on my house training, and my foster family is helping me practice with a belly band while I learn. Coming down stairs is something I take my sweet time with, but going up is no problem.
