About Kovu
Kovu is a young, spirited, and curious little guy who is ready to see more of the world beyond apartment walls. At around 9-10 months old and just 15 lbs, he's the perfect compact adventure buddy with a big personality. Kovu brings a fun, energetic vibe wherever he goes and is looking for a home that will embrace his enthusiasm for life and help him channel it into positive experiences. Kovu's DOB is 06/18/2025. He has spent his life so far living in an apartment, and while he's done well in that environment, he's more than ready to stretch his legs and explore new places, sights, and smells.
Ideal Home
Kovu is an outgoing, high-energy young dog who thrives around other playful pups. He absolutely loves having canine friends and does best with dogs who can match his energy level and don't mind a little extra enthusiasm in play. He would do best in an active home that's excited to include him in daily adventures, whether that's walks, hikes, play sessions, or learning new skills together. Kovu is eager to engage and will benefit from structure, consistency, and outlets for both his physical and mental energy. It's important to remember: Kovu is still very much a young dog, and YOUNG DOGS ARE HARD WORK! He's full of energy, curiosity, and a little bit of mischief. He may test boundaries, get overly excited, or need reminders about appropriate behavior as he learns. He may get into things he shouldn't, forget his manners, or have bursts of wild energy-that's all part of this stage of life. Please do not apply to adopt Kovu unless you are ready to provide the time, patience, and consistency needed to help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog.
Ongoing Health
Kovu has just begun his vaccination series, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. He is pending neuter. He appears to be a healthy young dog and will likely remain around 15 lbs full grown.
Training & Support
Kovu can be a bit pushy when meeting new dogs, but with proper introductions and continued guidance, he settles in and enjoys having a buddy to romp around with. Kovu is still learning the basics of life outside of an apartment setting. New environments, experiences, and routines will all be part of his continued growth. With patience and positive reinforcement, he has all the potential to become a well-rounded companion. He is still a young dog and would greatly benefit from training classes to help him build confidence, learn manners, and strengthen his bond with his future family.
