Kovu

Kovu is a spirited, curious young Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix with a big personality. At 15 pounds, he is a compact adventure buddy who is ready to explore beyond apartment living and share walks, hikes, play sessions, and new experiences with an active family.

Ideal Home

Kovu enjoys playful canine companions and does best with dogs who can match his energy. He may be pushy when meeting new dogs, but with proper introductions and continued guidance, he settles in and enjoys having a buddy.

He needs a home prepared to provide structure, consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. Young dogs are hard work, and Kovu may test boundaries, become overly excited, forget his manners, or have bursts of wild energy while he continues to mature.

Ongoing Health

Kovu's vaccination series has just begun. He has been dewormed and microchipped, appears healthy, and is expected to remain around 15 pounds full grown. He is pending neuter.

Training & Support

Kovu is still learning the basics of life outside an apartment and will benefit from continued guidance, training classes, and positive reinforcement to build confidence, learn manners, and strengthen his bond with his family.

Transportation

Kovu is fostered in Mead, Washington, in the Tri-Cities area of Eastern Washington. Adopters are encouraged to come meet him before deciding whether he is the right fit for their family.
