Meet Chanel, a sweet and resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who's blossomed beautifully after a tough start. She was found abandoned in a shelter and was on the euthanasia list, terrified and shut down. We brought her to Texas to give her a second chance, and she's transformed into an energetic, happy dog who even donates blood to help other animals in need! While her transformation is incredible, she's still learning to trust and is looking for a patient family to help her rebuild her faith. She loves toys and balls, especially soft squeakers, though she can get startled by loud noises and is still figuring out how to play with them. Chanel is also still working through past trauma and can be a bit flinchy when hands approach her, so she'll need a gentle, understanding environment where she can take things at her own pace and finally feel truly safe.
Ideal Home
Chanel would thrive in a home with a patient family and another canine companion who can help her learn to trust again.
Ongoing Health
Chanel is a healthy dog. All vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping, has been completed.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working on building confidence and can be flinchy when hands approach her. She'll need continued gentle training and a patient hand to help her feel safe and learn to trust. She is still learning how to play with toys.

Transportation
Chanel is currently in Texas. Transportation is available to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH, LA. AZ is coming soon. There are predetermined pick-up locations and times. The adoption and transportation fee ranges from $100-500. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request and require financial responsibility from the adopted family. Texas adopters have a $250 flat rate fee for transportation within the state. Transport is provided in air-conditioned buses or vans with onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. You can follow your pet's journey through a private Facebook Event page. Our Adoption Coordinator will help you find the closest transport pick-up location. For those picking up at our Angleton, TX location, there is a $75 fee, which includes all vetting as listed above, a collar, and many years of laughs and love to come.
