Meet Slim Jim! He's a 5-year-old, 74-pound mixed breed with a personality as big as his appetite. Slim Jim arrived as a stray, needing significant medical attention to get him to a healthy weight. Now that he's feeling his best, his wonderfully goofy side is shining through! He's a perfect blend of playful energy and relaxed companionship, and his heart is easily won over with tasty treats. Slim Jim is a smart cookie who is eager to learn new tricks for snacks and always ready for an adventure outdoors, especially a good walk.

Ideal Home

Slim Jim can potentially live with another dog, provided introductions are done slowly, as he can be quite excited at first. However, he does not do well with cats and would do best in a feline-free home. He's a sweetheart and would be a great fit for a family with children ages 10 and older, and he is also known to do well with younger visiting children.

Ongoing Health

Slim Jim has made a full recovery and is now at a healthy weight after receiving necessary medical care for emaciation. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Slim Jim is a smart boy who is motivated by treats and will happily learn new commands. He enjoys walks and is always ready to explore.
