Hi friends! My name is Benson, and I'm a joyful and full-of-life pup who is always ready to make a new friend. I'm a unique mix, with the body of a Basset Hound and maybe some Corgi mixed in, giving me a wonderfully compact and "stubby" physique. Humans tell me I have a handsome and exuberant face that's sure to make you smile! I'm about 18 months old and weigh a sturdy 40 pounds. I ended up at the Rescue Ranch through no fault of my own, and I'm eager to find a home where I can truly shine. I'm not a picky eater and enjoy relaxing with you while you watch your favorite shows – I'm particularly fond of murder mysteries and anything starring Danny DeVito or Tom Cruise. I'm an optimistic and expressive guy with a "bowl half full" attitude, and nothing ever gets me down. I'm confident, loyal, and promise to keep all your secrets! I love to run, wrestle, and play with my dog friends, and I also enjoy exploring the yard or simply soaking up the sunshine outdoors. I'm a smart cookie, already knowing commands like sit, down, shake, and roll over. I'm also housebroken on a schedule and will adapt easily to your routine. In a nutshell, I'm here to bring you lots of joy, I love adventures, and I just want to be a part of whatever you're doing.

Ongoing Health
I'm vaccinated, neutered, and I'm almost finished with my heartworm treatment. I'll be completely healthy and heartworm-free in about three weeks.
Training & Support
I'm already housebroken on a schedule and know several commands and tricks. I'm a smart boy and will eagerly adapt to your home and routine.

Transportation
I am currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX. However, I can be brought close to your home via rescue transport, which travels through your area once a month. Our drivers are dedicated and will keep you updated in real-time on my journey. For safety, all dogs on transport are crated and will have stops for breaks.
