Goose

Goose is a handsome Akita Mix with a heart of gold, weighing in at a solid 82lbs and is almost 8 years old. He's a seasoned gentleman who has been through a lot, being a Homeward Bound Alumni. After a wonderful 3 years with his first family, life changes meant he had to return to us. Then, he found Jim, a man who cherished him for 5 wonderful months. Sadly, Jim's health declined, and he could no longer provide the care Goose deserved, leading to a heartbreaking goodbye for both of them. Now, Goose is looking for his third chance at a forever home, with a person who will love him unconditionally. He's a big, sweet, and goofy boy who enjoys leisurely strolls around the yard with you, perhaps while you're gardening.

Ideal Home

Goose would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as he does enjoy to wander. He enjoys the company of children over 10 years old and is very good with them. While he appreciates seeing other dogs from a distance, he prefers to be the only canine companion in the household.

Goose is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Goose is a well-behaved boy who is past his prime for long walks. He enjoys being outside and would love a yard to explore.
