Rye Rye is a 16-month-old, 40 lb sweetheart who is ready to find her forever home! She was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is still learning to trust after a tough start in life. Initially fearful, Rye Rye has blossomed in foster care thanks to the companionship of other dogs, who have shown her that people can be kind. She is a sensitive girl who needs time and patience to feel safe. While she may not greet you with immediate enthusiasm, she forms a deep, loyal bond with those who earn her trust. She walks well on a leash.

Ideal Home

Rye Rye would thrive in a home with at least one other friendly dog to continue her journey of learning and provide her with confidence. She can also do well with children who are understanding of her need for space and who will approach her gently and at her own pace.

Ongoing Health

Rye Rye has no known ongoing health issues.

Training & Support

Rye Rye is still building her confidence and learning to trust. She needs a patient adopter who will allow her to approach them on her own terms and not rush her. Continuing to provide her with positive experiences and gentle guidance will be key to her continued growth.
