Twix

Twix has known heartbreak for most of her young life. She came into the shelter as an 8-week-old puppy, full of hope and potential, and thought she had found her forever home when she was adopted. But at just 7 months old, she was returned--her world turned upside down before she ever really had the chance to feel safe and secure.

Now, Twix is fearful and guarded, taking her time to trust the people around her. New faces can be overwhelming for her, especially men, and she needs patient, understanding humans who are willing to let her move at her own pace. But beneath that fear is a deeply loyal heart--once Twix decides you are safe, she will love you fiercely and without hesitation.

In the right environment, Twix still shows glimpses of the happy puppy she wants to be. She loves to play, lights up for treats, and when she feels truly comfortable, she leans in for hugs and closeness, soaking up every bit of affection she's given.

Twix doesn't need perfection--she needs patience, kindness, and someone who won't give up on her. She's been let down before, but she's still hoping for the one person who will see past her fear and give her the forever home she's always deserved.More information?
